This Privacy Notice details important information regarding the use and disclosure of User information collected on the Koonji Sites. This Privacy Notice is incorporated into and is subject to the Koonji Terms of Services. Please note that any content posted at the direction of Users onto the Koonji Sites becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Notice.

Personal information is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as a user name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, credit card or other account number, and information about that individual’s activities when directly linked to that person. Personal information also includes demographic information such as date of birth, gender, geographic area and preferences when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies you.

• User Provided Information: You may provide personal information (such as your name and email address) to Koonji when choosing to participate in various activities on the Koonji Sites such as registering as a member, posting messages/comments, taking advantage of promotions, responding to surveys, or subscribing to mailing lists, etc.
• Cookies Information: When you visit the Koonji Sites, we may send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Koonji uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. Koonji does not require that you accept cookies, however, some functionality on the Koonji Sites may be disabled if you decline to accept cookies. • Log File Information: When you use the Koonji Sites, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. • If you submit personally identifiable information to us through the Koonji Sites, then we use your personal information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Koonji Sites.
• We do not use your email address or other personal information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. We may, however, use your email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major Koonji Site changes or for customer service purposes).
• We use both your personal information and certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous User usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, clickstream data, etc.) to improve the quality and design of the Koonji Sites and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing User preferences and trends.

Personal information does not include “aggregate” information. Aggregate data helps us understand trends and customer needs so that we can better consider new services and tailor existing services to customer desires. We may share aggregated non-personal information with third parties outside of Koonji.

• We do not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties without your prior consent except in the limited circumstances described in this privacy policy.
• We may need to share personal information with third-party vendors and contractors who assist us in performing internal functions necessary to operate our business. In such cases, we require that our third party vendors agree to process such information in compliance with our privacy policy, and we use reasonable efforts to limit their use of such information and to use other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
• We share non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous User usage data, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) with interested parties to assist them in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality on the Koonji Sites.
• We reserve the right to release personal information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws (such as U.S. Copyright Law) or respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant.
• We also reserve the right to disclose personal information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms of Services, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend us against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security or integrity of our web sites, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Koonji, our Users or others.

The Koonji Sites contain links to other web sites. Any personal information you provide on the linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policy. Except as described above, we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of web sites to which we link. Links from Sites to third parties or to other sites are provided for your convenience. We encourage you to learn about their privacy and security practices and policies before providing them with personal information.

Koonji also allows other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements within the Koonji Sites. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on the Koonji Sites. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content you see.

Koonji does not provide any personal information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out.

We have put into place reasonable security measures in an effort to protect personal information while it is under our control. For example, your account information is accessible online only through the use of a password. To protect the confidentiality of personal information on our sites, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of the Koonji Sites by any person using your password. Please “contact us” immediately if you believe your password has been misused.

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, Koonji does not knowingly collect or maintain personally identifiable information or non-personally-identifiable information on the Koonji Sites from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our website is directed to persons under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Koonji Sites at any time or in any manner. If Koonji learns that personally identifiable information of persons under 13 years of age has been collected on the Koonji Sites without verified parental consent, then Koonji will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.

The Koonji Sites are hosted in the United States and are intended for and directed to Users in the United States. If you are a User accessing our sites from the European Union, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, please be advised that through your continued use of the Koonji Sites, which are governed by U.S. law, this Privacy Notice, and our Terms of Services, you are transferring your personal information to the United States and you consent to that transfer.

In the event that Koonji is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information we have collected from our Users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors' rights generally, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used.

We may modify this privacy policy periodically as our privacy practices keep up to date with technology and legal developments. We will notify you of the changes by posting the new policy on the Koonji Sites and indicating at the top of the privacy policy the date it was last updated.
